Shalyn has been singing and dancing since the age
of three. She is currently majoring in exercise
science with a minor in nutrition at the University
of Utah where she also studied vocal performance.
She's also receiving private vocal coaching from
Dan Whitley (The Lettermen, Justus Brothers,
SunShade'n Rain) while recording and performing for
delighted audiences throughout the Intermountain
West.
Shalyn has studied with the premier vocal instructors and coaches in the Salt Lake Valley including Dan Whitley, Dean Kaelin, Meg Bragle, and D. Kim Clayton.
Although Shalyn's vocal talent is enough to carry her to great heights, she is a multi-dimensional performer with 13 years of study in dance from Clayton Productions & Dance Studio, Hillcrest High school, Odyssey Dance Camp, and Singers Unlimited singing and dancing performance group. She also studied theater with Productions Company - a High School Musical Theater performing group and Hillcrest High school where she performed in the high school production of "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" playing the part of Princess Puffer.
Shalyn has nearly a hundred performances to her credit with groups and as a soloist in Las Vegas, San Antonio, Chicago, Washington D.C., New York City at Ground Zero and the United Nations, and all over Utah including the Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Olympics.
